The old arm extension slipped right into the bottom half after I flattened the corner on the old arm extension with a pair here
It fits my 75 year old but I had to replace the extension with this one. The tip is different and doesn't match what was on the car. I had to break the rivet on my old arm and use this one. The old arm extension slid right into the lower half after flattening the angle on the old arm extension with a few hammer blows and it snapped into place. Seems to work fine in use. All these settings took 15 minutes.
