Had to ask again (this time I ordered a set of 6 knives) because every time I reach for a knife and don't get it, I find myself doing it like I do annoy me, so if I get more, everyone else goes in the bin. I use them every day - they cut well, feel very secure in my hand - the handle is very strong (and I tend to be dangerous with these, but I can use them to chop hard dog treats into very small pieces cut chunks (close to my fingers) without worrying about slipping and cutting, and they handle the dishwasher with ease - even when I don't. Air dry and forget those Dishwasher open once the water has evaporated and that's why they basically sit in the water all night, no rust at all They are perfect and I expect them to last for many years!
