Review on Rain X 5079276 1 19 Inch Beam by Ryan Gillett

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Difficult to install and can't get the job done.

I usually like RainX wipers, but this wiper model is poorly constructed. First, it is an absolute daemon that needs to be installed. I had to review the poorly written, graphic-only instructions multiple times before I finally managed to properly assemble the cloths. It took over an hour to put on, while my previous RainX wipers took less than five minutes. The old wipers were starting to wear out, and I wanted to replace them with a new pair that were heavy and could easily get through snow and ice during a bad Wisconsin winter. I hate to say, but the old worn napkins were better than the Latitudes. After installation I have a permanent stain on my windshield that the wipers won't clean. It's two arms long, about a third the height of the driver's side windshield and almost within the main line of sight. I give the wipers an F rating. This is a hazardous product and should not be installed on any vehicle. The RainX Latitude moves away from the SUV and is replaced by another brand.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • I don't really have bad feelings about it, it's ok
