Review on MICHELIN Pilot Sport 4 235/45 R17 97Y summer by Micha Chmielewski ᠌
I am amazed at how well made the product is, just magical!
The free tire care and fuel cancel out the high price, and the gap to well-known competitors is no longer so large, making this tire, in my opinion, the most intriguing thing available in this size on the market. Despite the tire's thin and fragile appearance (both inside and out), Michelin has long been known for its reliability and performance. If the tire is part of the pilot series, it will also have an excellent grip, as well as durability and comfort. We'll see how they hold up over time, but based on the feedback I got from people who have driven on them already, I made the decision to purchase these tires in place of the worn out ones.
Pros
- Softer and quieter than Bridgestones or Dunlops, with excellent grip and handling for sporty driving. The fuel card actually saves money because of the free tire service promise.
Cons
- Tradewear index of 320 is typical for tires in this class, thus fast abrasion is to be expected; nonetheless, either grip or longevity is present. It's far too soon to make any sort of predictions.
