I had a very hard time finding jeans for my skinny son. I bought size 18 and they were too long. I bought size 18 because another brand's size 16 was too small and tight. Lee's size 16 fits him perfectly. When they shrink they get very damp but I wash cold and use medium heat in the dryer so hopefully that doesn't happen. I still have a size 18 on hand if he grows a bit more! We didn't even need an adjustable waist in a size 16, but in a size 18 we had to pull it as tight as possible, so there's a big difference between the two sizes. Too bad they don't do 17, that's probably what we needed :)
