For about a year I've been looking for a quality DVR with all the features I'm interested in for less than $100. I'm glad I chose this Vantrue N1 Pro. Before purchasing the N1 Pro, I was a little concerned about the build quality and plastic body of the dashcam. It was difficult to get an idea of the quality of the material from photos on the Internet. However, the first thing I noticed after unboxing the N1 Pro was that the build quality of the camera is very good and it doesn't feel cheap or too "plastic". Installing the N1 Pro was easy. I bought a separate Vantrue hardwire kit after a little research. Installing the wiring harness on my Audi A7 is very simple and straightforward. I installed the camera just behind the rearview mirror so it doesn't get in the way. The USB cable is hidden behind the headliner, goes to the driver's side A-pillar and then to my fuse box. It's really easy, there are some good video tutorials on the internet. Key features for me were 1080p recording, micro SD card support up to 256GB, parking mode, loop recording, shock sensor and super night vision. This camera includes all of these features and seems to be working very well so far. The picture quality is very good and offers enough details. I like the suction cup mount because it's quite small but still feels like it's holding the camera securely. The coolest thing about this mount is that it doubles as a camera dock. The suction cup mount features a USB connection, so you don't need to connect any cables to the camera once it's in the mount. My only minor gripe with the mount is that I wish the design would allow me to blind-dock the camera to the mount. The way it works is that it's not easy to attach a camera without seeing it visually. I haven't noticed any problems with the camera. The microphone picks up the sound well. The Sony image sensor paired with a six-layer f/1.8 glass lens delivers very good image quality day and night. If you are looking for a good dash cam, I definitely recommend this Vantrue N1 Pro.
