Works great on my 1993 Chevy C1500 4.3L. Also try replacing the air conditioner battery and condenser and you will love your car again. People complain that it doesn't work or gets very hot, they may have ignored that there are two other parts that need replacing. If the condenser, which looks like a radiator, is clogged with dirt, then it is obvious that sooner or later this compressor will fail again. I replaced all these 3 parts and my air conditioner is like a new car. I also noticed a big difference in my engine's performance. It doesn't feel forced like it used to. Spend a little more money but get the job done right. Just replacing an old part is like buying a new radiator and using old antifreeze to fill it with dirt and other contaminants that will sooner or later fail. The same applies to the air conditioning.
