Nice product but here are some things to know.

I bought Odicoat for my COVID project: reupholstering kitchen chairs that have not been repainted since 1976. Since the chairs get a lot of use I wanted oilcloth, but it seems like everywhere I look the same 15 prints still appear and none of them were what I wanted. Ok I found some nice prints from South Korea but it was very expensive and the shipping actually doubled the cost. I ended up buying a heavy canvas from Spoonflower and decided to go the DIY route. Voila! odicoat. Because the jar has almost no instructions, here's what you need to know: 1. Iron, iron, iron the fabric first. And then iron again. The creases that were on the fabric at the beginning will remain at the end.2. Depending on the fabric, you may need more than you think. I ended up having to buy 2 cans to process 1.5 yards of 58 inch wide fabric. Of course, canvas probably needs more than lightweight cotton, but keep that in mind. as evenly as possible and make sure it is well covered. I have an all teflon coated desktop and it worked fine but I still had to scrape off the residue the next day. It came off the teflon easily - it's very similar to the plain 4. Have a place ready to hang the fabric: clothesline, dryer with pegs, etc. And if the piece of fabric is large, use 4 or 5 clothespins to make sure it hangs as straight as possible (see folds). 5. Plan a drying time of 24 hours. 6. The instructions say to use parchment when ironing the fabric after it dries. I put 2 sheets of parchment paper on top of each other and it worked fine. like oilcloth, not shiny, not shiny, more like satin, the texture of the canvas is still recognizable at the rear. er workmanship but now it seems to me that it is a little stubborn which is normal but I don't think it washes off as easily as oilcloth or laminated cotton. Luckily, the days of tiny, sticky, food-covered people sitting at my table are long gone, so it doesn't matter as much as it did 20 years ago. So yes, it mostly works. as advertised - waterproof etc - and definitely a lot easier than waxing or do-it-yourself oils. Time will tell if it holds up.
