I have pumped about 20 gallons (20 cycles) of well water so far. I actually really like that thing. It is easy to clean and maintain. Our fountain has a regular activated carbon filter for the whole house. So when we run a cycle through this thing, there's usually quite a lot of sediment left on the bottom. Rough! My digital PPM tester is constantly testing from 001 to 002. The water just seems to me to be as it should be. A few tips when buying this. Fill it with hot water, which heats up faster. If you are used to turning it off, unplug it for the rest of the cycle to avoid calcification. Put it in a place with enough airflow to keep it cool. (I put it in the corner between the microwave and kettle, it got hot and came out with only 3/4 gallon of water, and on the open rack it gave out a full gallon). Make sure the water you keep it in is distilled water as it tends to leach out some plastics. Great product for the price!
