Apparently there is at least one reviewer who thought this article was designed to be received by US TV channels. It's not because it wasn't designed for that purpose. If you live in the US like me, its value is an inexpensive software defined radio receiver (but not a transmitter). There are many RTLSDR applications running on Microsoft Windows and various Linux distributions. I currently have this item hooked up to a Raspberry Pi 3 where it adequately decodes various signals using only the included antenna. Type RTLSDR into any search engine and you'll get an idea of the digital modes it can handle. I noticed that one of the reviewers mentioned the 60ppm error. The item I received had a 70ppm error. So take the time to identify the fault for your device and implement the fix into all the apps you run. This can mean the difference between a decent signal and nothing but noise.
