This lamp will only work if you switch the socket to 110/120 volts. Lamps for this type of base usually work at a lower voltage. I missed this fact when ordering the lamps. I ended up making two lamps out of my lightbulbs. The lamps are very bright and durable. They run much cooler than incandescent bulbs but warmer than most LED bulbs. They make a great shop/work light.
