This filter is well made
I bought a slightly cheaper screw-on filter fin and it broke after a few weeks. This one seems better made and less likely to break there - however something the size of the filter holes in a metal disk or cup is certainly big enough to be slow to filter/clogg and sometimes the coffee will pool in the cup and even run above. instead of quickly sinking into a coffee cup. I use a small French roast. You may need larger holes in the bowl than in the cup to allow the liquid to flow faster.
