Review on πŸ”΄ Sony DVP-FX810/R 8-Inch Portable DVD Player in Cherry Red: High-Quality Entertainment On-The-Go by Adam Alvarez

Best Portable DVD Players

My rating is based on young children (2-5 years) using this DVD player. This is my third DVD player for my 3 year old son. Why do you ask, you have to see it that way. Each has its own purpose. I have a 10 inch JVC for my truck rides, a 6 inch Wall Mart Phillips for casual dining and now I have a Sony for the fold out screen. As my son got older, he started pushing buttons and opening trays on all of our turntables. Rotating the screen on this player makes the buttons less visible so he doesn't fiddle with them as much, but the big plus is that he can't open the tray. The battery life is much longer than the other two players, the screen quality is much better and the weight is about the same as the Phillips. I gave it 4 stars only because of the sound from the speaker which is not loud enough to hear on a normal airplane. This is easily overcome with cheap headphones, and the sound is quite loud from there (there are two headphone jacks). If buying this for your kids I would recommend a quality case with plenty of room for plugs, DVDs etc. Buy the case as soon as you have the player in your hands. I made the mistake of ordering the one suggested on Revain and it was useless.
