I bought this reader because the connector that came with my Sony DSC-H50 suddenly stopped working. At first this little guy worked great. He did exactly what he was supposed to do, no problem. In fact, I prefer the old connection cable that preceded it. But now that I've been using it for about four months, I'm nowhere near as satisfied. After about the first month I had trouble getting my computer to recognize the reader, but this was usually fixed by switching USB ports or reinserting the memory card. However, it soon got disconnected when I was importing photos and gave me the "Device was not properly ejected" error message. However, as soon as I switched it to a different port, it mostly worked fine again. Now I have to reinsert both the reader and memory card multiple times for the reader to work at all. Not only that, I actually have to press down on the memory card for my computer to recognize it. Even then, it will randomly disconnect and often not connect at all. Because this thing is so cheap, I feel like I can't complain too much. Four months is pretty good for something that only costs $1. But if you're looking for a memory card reader that you can rely on, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.
