The Good and the Bad

I had high hopes for a device that would save me a significant amount of money by adding another key fob to my collection to replace the worn one. On the one hand, the device worked surprisingly well. I put my factory key in the ignition and turned it ON, plugged in the programmer and weight for the tutorial message to appear on my dash, and finally held the lock/unlock buttons on the remote until I heard a beep. . Then I turned the key off, pulled it out and checked the remote. Wow. To my surprise it worked. I could lock, unlock and remote start my truck. Now for the BAD. I went to open the door with my key instead of using the key fob and as soon as I unlocked my truck with the key the theft horn started beeping. As soon as I put the key in the ignition, the horn went off. So my WARNING is that this product somehow modifies the vehicle's anti-theft system, causing you to honk every time you open the door with the key. Hope this will be helpful. I would say it would be of great value not knowing if I would have to take it to the dealer to fix what broke. It could end up costing me a lot more than I saved.
