Bought these to replace the crazy, harmlessly cheap and ugly stock mirrors on my 2008 BMW R1200R, which is a pretty standard mid-road bike in terms of size and riding position. The mirrors came with the appropriate hardware for factory installation, but were almost impossible to use in that position. they sit very low and because of the short arms (which was part of the goal of course) they can't be adjusted enough to work, although the adjustment is pretty good compared to other aftermarket mirrors. After a home setup, I had to take my eyes off the road and lean fully forward and back to see behind me, which was far more difficult and dangerous than quickly turning in my seat. I found some mirror extensions from my last bike but couldn't figure out how to connect them to the parts provided so I took them to the dealer and explained my situation. In the end, BMW also complained about having to look for different parts to attach the mirrors properly and as a result of this problem, one mirror was higher than the other, but once they were on. The mirrors look really nice and work well, plus they are easy to adjust but don't move on their own hence the 4 star rating despite the detailed installation difficulties outlined above. I suspect they would be easy to install for a chopper or cruiser style bike with a much more relaxed riding position (i.e. farther from the handlebars/dash), it's also suspected that they wouldn't work at all for bikes that are more aggressive in type "pace rocket" on. As long as you're up for it, they're actually a great product when they're on and in the right place.
