Lets start with the jacket, in the last 5 years I have bought 4 different jackets from other manufacturers in this price range, this jacket has great zipper quality, light (but better than nothing) ribbed padding (none of the other jackets did) , which makes the jacket even better, excellent CE armor density on the shoulders, elbows and backplate (see image), the Cordura outer shell also feels stronger, maybe thicker. All ventilation slots are present. The whole jacket has strong stitching and I've already tested it by falling at about 45mph and sliding about 15 feet, this jacket obviously held up very well. I fell in the grassy mud, but I assure you I put this jacket through a pretty tough 'stress test'. I am 6ft 190lbs and chose the small size because the jacket needs to fit snugly to the body for the best protection and the small size is perfect for a snug fit. I didn't have WD gloves then, I got them later and I can tell you the gloves are even better than the jacket because they rival Alpine Star, Dainese or ANY of the expensive brands, they are full leather and that Leather is thick and soft at the same time, the only combination found on gloves over $100, the knuckles are protected by hard plastic and the palm has a double layer of leather if needed, it's perforated to keep your hand from sweating protect, and the index finger tip on both gloves is touchscreen compatible. My hand is 7-3/4" from the base of my palm to the tip of my middle finger and 3.5" palm width down the middle and I intentionally made them small again, at first they seem to be the wrong size (I wear usually LG) but after 5-6 compressions the skin flexes and they provide a great fit. The only thing I don't like is the velcro on the wrist which still loses even in the tightest position.
