Used this drill after a 4 year old died. I used it to drill 4 holes in brick for faucets, 6 holes in 1/4" steel plate. That's all. I got to the 5th hole in steel plate and it just stopped doing anything. Didn't get hot ,never got wet.that a BRAND NEW drill would die like that I went and bought another from the great store they carry to finish the job.I was talking on the phone on the way to the store and kept hearing hisses and pops .Then I felt it!You know that smell when you smell it.When I turned around I saw my new drill which had just smoked out!To my surprise there was a Ryobi rep in the store so I asked to speak , he basically told me I paid to learn a lesson he could teach me for FREE!, lawn tractors still make 4-stroke trimmers, blowers, miter saws, table saws, literally EVERYTHING
