Mounts to an insulated garage door - just need to purchase various screws

Purchased to allow our semi-feral cats to get in and out of the garage they use as a shelter. We left the garage door open a few inches for them to get in and out of. In the end I decided on a cat door. Installs this on a styrofoam insulated garage door so the mounting screws do not work to attach the inner frame to the styrofoam. Replaced the included bolts with 6-32 x 2" bolts, washers and locknuts. I had to expand the pre-drilled mounting holes on one of the frames to fit new bolts - I don't remember which ones but it will be obvious. After using After cutting a hole in the garage door with my dremel using a jigsaw attachment, it turned out that I had to cut the inner bracket to fit the 1" depth of the door. This is easy to do with a Dremel and a cut-off wheel. Put on goggles - plastic splinters fly around. in my face. OK. I didn't wear them. do as I say, not as I do. Once that was done - you had to drill holes for the screws through the door from the outside and line up the screws - it's highly recommended to drill a hole, mount and fasten (make opposite corners) one corner at a time this is to minimize frame movement for each consecutive hole you drill, since you want both frames' holes to match when you insert the 2" screw through both frames. I braced the door with an elastic cord for a cat "training" - and they've already figured out there's a hole in the door to get in/out. I'll wait another day or so before opening the door. Overall pretty happy with it. Another tip: if you're mounting it to a garage door like I did, measure the depth carefully and take the cat door to a hardware store to visually determine the length of screws you'll need. My Ace hardware didn't have 1.75" screws, so the screws stuck out a little over 1/4" inside.
