Review on Wago 222 412 Lever Nuts Conductor Connectors: Secure and Hassle-Free Wire Connections by Jeffrey Sanders

Ideal for stranded wire

I mainly use them for stranded wire applications. Push-in connectors do not allow the strands to be removed when a change is required - the strand must be cut, which can be a problem with the remaining length, and the old connector must be discarded. For solid copper home wires 14awg-12awg, the preferred connectors are fashion style for cost reasons; unless the connection is likely to change again, in which case Wago's ease of disconnection is worth the cost. For locations with stranded wire, such as B. Wire placement devices, Wago is preferred. I've also found Wago to be very helpful with multicolored stranded wires in conduit in tricky wiring situations since there are so many possible wiring errors. to test the suitability of the luminaire before actual installation. The light wires (usually stranded) are not damaged and the connector can remain on the cable and be reused many times. I have yet to carry the wago that I attached to the cable. Bare wire sections are fully covered with wago, improving safety over the unsafe alligator clip method. Nuts or, in some cases, non-standard heavy gauge cables. Disadvantages of Wago: more expensive solution, slightly larger than pluggable ones and risk of Asian counterfeits (connectors must meet UL or VDE requirements).
