The extra large (XL) worked best (rear-seats down) for the dog-friendly VW Jetta Sportwagon/Sportwagen 2009-2016.Nice fit finish, workmanship, materials fabric. Sturdy headrest/loop clamps. The rubber backing is very nice feature not often found, it keeps the pad in-place as pets jump in/out or cargo is loaded/slid in. High-end quality look. Highly recommended.We offer praise for 4Knines unsurpassed Customer Service because they substituted an extra large mat which fit our vehicle PERFECTLY (the Large was "OK" for our application but the XL was - "Perfect"). A double Woof! Woof! for 4Knines!Specific notes for VW sportwagon/sportwagen application: The XL allows the protective fold-down flap to extended past the end of rear hatch/door to cover when extended, the bumper as intended. The XL fits best in the Jetta's voluminous cargo area when the rear seats are down. If your rear seats are always up the Large (L) will work but will be slightly short (protection flap only reaches to end of cargo area not bumper) if you lower your rear seats - OK in occasional use. We believe the black liner looks great in a black interior, Grey also offered, if desired could coordinate with the light gray VW headliner.
