Update 07/04/2017 I've been using this for a while and still love it. I just discovered that you can disable the auto power off feature. First turn off your device. Then hold the HOLD button and turn it on. You just need to press the power button but keep holding the HOLD button until it turns on. The auto-off icon is now gone from the display and will remain on until you turn it off. Auto power off will return next time. when you turn it on. I really like this 4 Channel Thermocouple Temperature Meter. It was very easy to figure out how to use it and set it up to read my film drying cabinet. It feels good in my hand, although I mounted it on a cabinet so I don't have to constantly turn off the thermocouples. It has min/max/avg modes, they work great. The backlight has a hotspot and isn't entirely even, which isn't a huge issue. She can also switch between C, F and K. Really useful. It turns on and off quickly, the readings are accurate (within the range of the probes). The only criticism - not a large viewing angle of the LCD. It can only be read from multiple angles. I hold it slightly above my head so I can look at it. It's the perfect viewing angle and the numbers are crisp. Also, I highly recommend it. The price is good and the equipment, namely 4 channels, could not be better.
