Communication between this camera and its base station has never been interrupted. It's as simple as disconnecting the camera, moving it to a new location, connecting it and using it from there. As long as your home doesn't have overly thick walls, the range should be fairly satisfactory. I don't have to worry about losing connectivity when I put the monitor in my driveway or on the back porch as it stands up to the elements. When using this camera, the audio doesn't have that much lag. You can always hear your baby wake up, no matter what time of day, thanks to the fact that the sound continues even when the screen is off. All in all, this camera suits us and our lifestyle much better.
