Finally something that can help.

This is my salvation. Many years ago I had a multi-stage fusion that left me with a fairly permanent knot up to the length of the shoulder blade. It's a fairly common spot between my spine and the blade, but mine is big and just won't go away. Nothing has helped him for more than 10 years. I've tried ultrasound, electronic wand, jacuzzi, inversion table, heat, ice and all of that. Lately I've even put a spiked golf ball in it so the ball is in the sock and I can hold it through the leg hole. Then I throw it over my shoulder and press it against the knot, lean against the wall, squirm and set it up again, trying to keep the pressure between the knot and the wall. It helped a little, but not as well as it did, and seemed unlikely that it would ever untie the knot. I did this so many times that the paint on my wall was peeling. So before I do any more damage, I decided to give this a try. With so many choices, I chose this one mainly because it's rechargeable. I'm glad I did. Most of them need to be connected to the internet so you are restricted in your location to use them. I can even sit outside and enjoy the weather. I have 4-5 procedures in one charge. It turns off automatically after 15 minutes, which keeps me from overdoing it. So far it's been amazing. It took a bit to get it in place initially, but the loops on the straps help a lot. I could use it horizontally to engage muscles on either side of the spine, or vertically to work just the side where I needed it most. Best not to apply directly to the bone, but after a few tries it was easy. I find it much better than the flat mat or fixed point back massager I've tried in the past. It is more flexible and therefore fits my purpose better. I use it heated but you can still turn the heat off. Also the ability to change direction is another great feature. After a few days of use, I really feel like the knot is finally getting smaller. It's not gone yet, but I hope so as I work on it. Fingers crossed
