I bought these under the mistaken belief that they were water soluble. However, my first attempt at watercolor quickly corrected this opinion. You can see in the picture where the Mizuasagi failed to mix under the onslaught of the water. However, they still work well in combination with watercolors and create beautiful subtle shading, for example brown eyes are Hiwadairo. Offers a wide range of pen thicknesses, making it suitable for both fine lines and concentrated strokes. Definitely cheaper to buy in a set of 5 than to buy each color individually.
