I'm using this as a splitter from an HDMI source (computer) to a pair of HDMI->VGA adapters for some gaming gear. . It works great with both target resolutions 1280x1024 and 1280x720, both at 60Hz. It has been used for less than a month and can no longer do 2 simultaneous withdrawals (although it works fine with 1). After checking the adapters and trying to use them with regular HDMI devices and different cables, it turned out to be the power adapter. The cheap 2A power adapter that came with this box was extremely poor quality. I replaced it with a 2.4A power supply and that fixed the problem. Also, this box needs to be sealed or installed. It may come off if accidentally pressed.
