Suitable for iPhone 8 Plus with Otterbox Defender. I was really surprised how strong this product is. I thought since my phone is so bulky and heavy it would be too big but it works. I recommend this product for an iPhone 8 plus with Otterbox but NOT in combination with a Ford C-Max Hybrid (and vice versa I recommend it for a Ford C-Max but not for those who also have a heavy bulky phone) . I guess the odds were against me having a big CD player and the biggest and heaviest phone. So the fact that it works 90% of the time is pretty darn good. If my CD player wasn't so high up on my dash or my phone wasn't so heavy, it would certainly work better - it's just the combination of the two that makes it 100% non-functional. It's super easy to set up, really speaks for itself.
