I use them to freeze soup and chili, store leftovers, store ingredients like flavacol for popcorn, make a big oatmeal overnight, make 2 small packets of jelly, later chopped veggies or ground beef for dinner, to keep some sewing supplies safe, and my mom burned some small holes in a jar so she could "air out" my stepdad's gummy bears so they harden and the cats can't get to them. folds up nicely in my small closet and I know these lids will fit this jar. They're a good price, so I don't worry too much if I lose one here or at my mom's.
