I use this bracket on my truck's toolbox to support the Yaesu screwdriver antenna. I needed the SO239 side to be flat for this application and that's what I got. I bought another one to use as a mount for the same antenna in a field/base scenario. However, the width between the studs and the length of the studs is simply not enough to fit a standard 1.25" mast. Tram: If you made a bracket with holes just 1/8 inch wider (horizontally and vertically) and with half inch longer screws, you'd be opening that bracket up to the ham market. Or sell one with a vertical "V" on both plates that fits a 1.25" rod.
