This rating is to help volleyball training equipment. I bought this because it was recommended to me by one of our friends on my daughter's volleyball team. She is 9 years old and had trouble getting the ball over the net during games. She needed a lot of practice for her form and how to let go of the ball and make contact with it. Not so much in strength. This product was perfect for us to be able to practice this at home without fear of breaking things (my wife would kill me if we did). During the summer league, it's usually 100 degrees outside, so indoor training is very beneficial. We have a volleyball that we only use for indoor training and it's clean. After a few days of training, my daughter, the youngest on the team, was able to consistently serve and contribute to the team. Her serve barely made it to 10 feet before she practiced with it. I love how the length of the strap is adjustable so we can make it shorter or longer depending on how many fragile things are around. This is great for practicing a child's hand birth form. Overhand serves are a bit tricky as the straps sometimes get in the way when throwing. It's also hard to practice regular hitting because the strap gets in the way when I throw the ball to her and sometimes scratches her hands. Backstage pitching is crucial for young volleyball players as this is where the child is in the spotlight and this can be the highlight of a child's game. When your child has a stable diet, self-confidence only grows. The ball sits very securely in the holder. It is not a problem that it will fall out at all. The strap also sits well on the waist. I highly recommend this product to anyone who needs to practice handshakes.
