Review on 🔌 ViewHD VHD-1X2MN3D: High-Quality 2-Port 1x2 HDMI Splitter for 1080P & 3D by Rex Bareham

I read somewhere that putting this splitter in the signal path can allow me to watch HDCP protected content which my computer wouldn't allow without this splitter, but it didn't work for me. (The HDCP compatibility issue was actually caused by a third-party adapter that allowed me to connect my monitor's HDMI cable to my 2019 MacBook Pro, which requires an adapter for whatever you want to connect since the only ports refer to a type used by very few other device manufacturers). For the simple task of splitting a video signal in two, this adapter works great (although I don't think it would be necessary to use such an adapter with a Mac for this purpose, as the Mac has built-in screen mirroring that does this does, you can just plug multiple monitors directly into your computer and force them all to display the same image). So, on the one hand, this adapter didn't perform the function I was told by third-party vendors (at least not when plugged into the signal path between my monitor and the adapter, which actually caused an HDCP compatibility issue), while on the other hand, the The manufacturer/seller of this item does not claim that the device would *perform* these functions, so the device in no way matches the claims made by the people actually involved in its manufacture and sale. a plus. ;)
