Does NOT work in QNAP TS459-Pro II

If you are looking for 2GB RAM for your QNAP TS-459 Pro II NAS, DO NOT buy this module. After installation, your NAS will turn on and say "System Booting". forever and ever. Once you've removed the RAM module, you're back in business. If you need compatible RAM, check out the Kingston KVR1333D3S8S9. The specs are the same as these, but for some reason people got lucky with this module and not this one (I'll report back as we speak). Correct Memory Module: Kingston ValueRAM 2GB DDR3 1333MHz SODIMM Memory Notebook Memory (KVR1333D3S8S9/2G) According to the QNAP forums, some users have even swapped out the onboard 1GB internal module (it's on the motherboard in QNAP, right on the opposite side of the upgradeable slot). However, since the QNAP OS was only 32-bit at the time of writing this article, and the selected Intel CPU (which controls the storage controller) only supports 4GB of RAM at the hardware level, you cannot physically add more than 4GB to your NAS. (2x 2GB sticks) and access more than 3.5GB RAM even if you plug in two sticks. Of course, the KVR1333D3S8S9 is only $10.99, but I still don't see the point in increasing the usable memory by 0.5 GB by removing the standard memory. which doesn't have any published specs, so who knows what the benefits of the standard memory are compared to the extra half gigabytes. Fur. However, you can do it. Just not with this memory module. If you are a QNAP user, I hope this review has been of some help to you.
