Review on Amprobe PRM 6 Sequence Rotation Tester by Luke Cotton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It has everything except the kitchen sink!

This multimeter is awesome! The autorange response is instantaneous and the LCD has a well-optimized viewing angle. I've taken it apart and the gauge components are reasonably high quality, but the surface soldering is a little crusty in a few spots for convenience. I found use for most of the functions but found that the non-contact voltage detection is a bit inconvenient, the NCV receiver cannot be held close enough to the power source to alert the meter. The build quality of the case is solid and of a good size, the mode switch is crisp and clear. A flashlight is useful and the backlight is a nice constant light without a break. The meter comes with a carrying case and a CD with user manual. Only mine came with the wrong manual so I downloaded it from the Amprobe website. The fit and finish could be better though, my meter had scratches on the outer padded case. For a hundred dollar meter I would like it to be smoother in terms of looks.
