I finally needed my Kaito Voyager Pro radio. I had no power for two days but pulled out the radio so I could charge my phone and get info over the airwaves. I always charged the internal battery when a storm was raging in the area. He died within 5 minutes. No, Biggie, switched to AA batteries that haven't been used. For some reason they were exhausted. I put in fresh AA batteries and listened to the radio for a couple of hours, turning it off and back on a few hours later, the batteries died despite the power switch being on the internal battery/adapter. Basically, this thing is constantly draining your AA batteries, and the internal battery is garbage. The internal battery started smoking after I tried to recharge it. I have contacted support about the issues and am waiting for a reply. I'll update this review depending on how they handle it, but for now I would avoid this device. My friend had the same with the same model. He warned me not to buy it but I figured it was just an accident for him. But no. Almost set my house on fire for what was supposed to be an emergency tool.
