Unreliable in extreme weather

It's been almost a year and the battery life is almost exhausted. Warning is enabled and working when connected to a network, do not rely on this device for security reasons. Camping weather alerts, unless you bring lots of batteries and change them daily, not for bug protection or disaster preparedness. FM average less sunlight when a full charge takes about 4-5 minutes just if you ask me this device should only cost $20-30 I paid about $80

Pros
  • Calendar, two setting alarm, sleep timer, thermometer and humidity meter
Cons
  • Some problems

Expensive Plastic Radios

Emergency use for 2 years. I finally decided to use the device while swimming, the solar panels didn't seem to be working. The battery held a charge for a couple of weeks of charging and suddenly stopped holding a full charge. The volume/volume of the device is low even when it is screwed all the way up. The grip doesn't seem to work or is adding battery power. This device costs about $20, but for the $80 I paid for it, I consider it a charity for the smart.

Pros
  • 4 tuning methods including manual tuning, direct digit entry, ATS and memory tuning with 335 presets for easy access to favorite stations
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Battery drain and fire hazard

I finally needed my Kaito Voyager Pro radio. I had no power for two days but pulled out the radio so I could charge my phone and get info over the airwaves. I always charged the internal battery when a storm was raging in the area. He died within 5 minutes. No, Biggie, switched to AA batteries that haven't been used. For some reason they were exhausted. I put in fresh AA batteries and listened to the radio for a couple of hours, turning it off and back on a few hours later, the batteries died…

Pros
  • 180 degree adjustable solar panel with 5 LED reading lights, flashlight
Cons
  • Sad gear

Overpriced plastic suitable for weather radios

It took me a while to write this review as I've been using the device for emergencies for 2 years. I finally decided to use the device while swimming, the solar panels didn't seem to be working. Connecting rod is not a reliable design

Received today. Two words that are NOT an accurate description of this product are strong and durable. I'm sure a lot of people who are gentle with their stuff will say it's great. But I can see and feel the weakness of the grip. Definitely poor design. I don't take things lightly, but I know I'll break mine. And the solar panel doesn't want to stay on its feet. The slightest touch throws him back. Another touch and it slides even deeper. When the solar panel is removed and I hold the unit…

Don't waste your money

If you're looking for an AM/FM radio that runs on one AA battery, then that's good. If you need other functions, this product is useless. The original battery gives about 30 minutes of airtime on a full charge, less if you get a "full" charge with the solar battery feature. Assuming the battery is bad, I went ahead and bought an identical battery. This new battery gave about 2 hours of airtime. However, the battery will also drain when the radio is off and the only way to stop this is to remove

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Some little things
