I had an old but awesome stereo from the 80's that I wanted to upgrade. It contained some huge, amazing sounding old Cerwin Vega speakers and a pair of fairly new Polk Reference bookshelf speakers which I used as satellite speakers for use with an old Yamaha 5.1 stereo receiver. No center channel because the ones I've tried so far just didn't play well with the huge Cerwin Vega Horn speakers I have. with a sensitivity of 96. Plus, Vegas has always sounded better. Much better. Until now. I went out and bought a new Yamaha 5.1 receiver; their excellent modern 479 model. That's great! Then I decided on another decent center channel and looked for it for a long time before I bought it. All I can say now. it's "Wow!" Forget Bos! Forget all those thousands of dollars in coordinated systems! Buy this center channel. With the right receiver and speaker balance it becomes crystal clear and adds a whole new dimension to my viewing/listening pleasure. I've always known that Klipsch makes good stuff. and that center channel might sound expensive, but it's worth every penny, assuming you have other high-end speakers to pair/complement with it. Love it. Highly recommended.
