Review on πŸ›‘οΈ Oral Choice Plastic Face Shield: Ultimate Protection and Comfort for Your Face by Nathan Akers

Elegant and anti-glare design

This set includes two headbands and two shields. All parts can be washed in mild detergent and warm water for reuse. The product is made of very light, flexible plastic. Plastic is the quality of the small plastic tray that comes with the biscuit packaging. I had high hopes for this face shield since as a healthcare worker I ordered anti-glare face shields before I retired. Unfortunately, this sign has to be returned to the drawing board. It's relatively light but quite bulky as the headband is a chain of 7 plastic "air bags" (think hollowed out plastic ice cubes) with plastic straps that continue around the back of the head. "Air pockets" are designed to keep the visor away from your face. The shield itself and the back of the headband snap together and close by snapping the small round tabs on the band into the small punched holes in the shield. In fact, you have to connect everything together (which is not an easy task) and then put it on your head. Even after you've tried putting it back on until you find the right tension to keep it on your head, it still either slides down or pops open if it's too loose or too tight. There is definitely enough space under the shield to wear a mask or goggles. However, the shield itself is stated to be non-glare and non-fogging. Unfortunately it isn't. I was disappointed with this as it's awful walking around with a reflective shield so you have to constantly change the angle of your head to try and see through the glare. I tried the shield without the mask. In this situation, the fog collects in the shield. Wearing a mask with a visor definitely reduces fogging. Unfortunately, this product is a bad buy for me. Trying to assemble it and adjust it to the size of the head takes too long and I don't think it will stand up to repeated use. so long. I found it very difficult to fit the plastic bumpers on the frame into the punched holes in the shield. In one instance where I couldn't fit the bumper into the hole, I actually bent the plastic bumper. Luckily I was able to straighten it out so I could snap it into the hole. I don't think this product will do that very often.
