Review on 🌿 B B Eco-Friendly Waterless Deodorant by Rebecca Bright

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great concept but not my mood

I have the sensitive (purple) which should smell like lavender. I really like the concept: pure, natural, aluminum-free, paraben-free, plastic-free, eco-friendly and zero-waste. Unfortunately I don't like deodorant. When first opened, the scent is strongly reminiscent of anise/liquorice. I suspect it's due to the fennel listed in the ingredients, but since it's one of the last ingredients, I didn't think it would be that much stronger than the supposed lavender scent. I hate the smell of aniseed/liquorice so honestly I didn't even want to use it. But I did it because I wanted to see it, apart from the smell. Obviously some people like the smell of liquorice, but I think it would be much more accurate to list the scent as "fennel and lavender" because, like me, if someone is expecting lavender, they can be very disappointed when they get exactly that feels smell. Fennel. After applying the deodorant it was very flaky and flaked/clumped my floor when I put it on leaving flakes/clumps in my armpits. After rubbing them in everything was fine, but every time I applied more deodorant the same thing happened and I didn't like removing all the deodorant bits from the floor after use. In terms of performance, it works flawlessly. I've used the best deodorants, but I've definitely used the worst. It seems to dry better and maybe even reduce sweat than some of the others I've used, so I'm giving it points for that. Overall, the smell, mess, and price don't make this an attractive option for me, even if I plan to use what I have, let alone buy more.
