Great product - car video

Given 4 stars because I had trouble putting the deck back on on the 5th then it worked fine for 5 days. I have not yet contacted the company with a question. The rest of the deck is cute!

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Pretty unusual for automotive electronics

This is a lovely little device with a few quirks, it has insanely fast boot times, wish there was contrast. It's better and small glare. I'll try sticking a piece of anti-reflective sheeting on it to see if that helps. Still learning about the product and may update later as I gain more experience.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

It's a pretty good stereo

Update: I've worked with Vanku customer service and after replacing the unit, the replacement seems much sturdier. Not sure if there was a difference in firmware or what. Their support is pretty good and the device is pretty feature rich for the price. This gives you a lot more functionality than more expensive established brands like Alpine or Kenwood. I haven't had much luck with the SD card slot, so I just plugged a 32GB USB drive into one of the two available USB ports and it seems to work…

Good dog with a few fleas

I have had several Android car stereos in the past and have a history with them. Responsive, no lag (I have a 4GB/64GB version) GPS capabilities are good. Steering wheel buttons (with user interface) are easy to set up. Seller support is great. Cons: I get a TON of interference when using WiFi. It's like old-school Blackberry noise. The touchscreen occasionally ignores touches. Wi-Fi doesn't connect to some networks like everyone else. I do not know why. In short, this is a good dog with a few…

I need to change my rating.

This device tries to connect to my phone every 10 seconds. Due to the beep on my phone and when I watch or listen to YouTube, the video stops every time I try to connect. I disabled the bluetooth on the radio, I turned the radio off and even factory reset the radio and the photo does the same thing. I know it was cheap but I don't want the device to spy on me even when it's off. Obviously it's been a while since I bought it and it can't be returned so it goes in the trash. I think that after…

Great head for your money!

I like everything about this radio. Installs easier than expected. The sound is excellent, but that can also be due to the fact that I use a device with external amplifiers. Loads fast, navigation works great and phone calls sound better than most. I'm having trouble getting multiple obd2 dongles to connect via bluetooth. I contacted customer service; They gave some advice to no avail. They sent me their obd2 device, I connected it and it worked. If you want or need obd2 on this device I would…

Exactly what the doctor ordered.

This unit has been in my 2008 Honda Odyssey for a few months now. Love it. The main downside is that it's slightly larger than the original, so you may need to swap out the surrounding bezel. The sound is amazing with the ability to adjust it via the equalizer. It delivers clean performance even at full volume without distortion. The loading time is fast. I mostly listen to the music that is on the flash drive. I installed Sygic for offline maps because my phone plan doesn't include integration

Pros
  • In-Dash Navigation
Cons
  • High Price

This is the Android head unit you've been looking for.

Well first off great customer service from Revein and Vanku. I received a device on which GPS was not working. Both of them helped me with the troubleshooting steps and when that didn't work they replaced it with a new one. In production you sometimes have problems, no matter who you are. What matters is how you deal with the situation. They both get a different brand Android A+I head unit in my other car, but it's only a dual-core processor and 2GB RAM (Android 10), and this thing knocks it…

China initial installation settings

This head unit connects to the internet and I found it strange that I had to change the internet/wifi settings to US. Leads me to suspect spyware is installed on the device, but this car is only used on weekends and long trips, so not that often. The setup was a standard head unit replacement, but on the 2003 Explorer Eddie Bower it didn't quite fit in the space with the trim plate that I had on my old Kenwood unit. I've been looking and can't find another disguise set, so I'm taking care of…
