Exactly if you adjust the ruler first!

All the negative reviews are only understandable if you don't understand how the thing works. No, taking it apart and assuming everything is the same distance is unrealistic because it has moving parts and you pull with different forces, but each section is adjustable! Stretch it as far as you want, then lay it down and adjust it with a ruler. Once all the dots are aligned you can tape a strip of tape to it, turn it over and apply the tape to the back. This fixes the points. FOR THE PRICE this is awesome. A more expensive one may work perfectly without having to check with a ruler. This saves me a lot of time marking long borders or matching seam points on the quilts I make. I love it!

Pros
  • Ideal for separating seed and seedling rows for perfect row placement.
Cons
