The RMA replacement failed within a few weeks.

I have this amazing little dock with gigabit ethernet, a 4k 60Hz display port monitor and a few other USB peripherals. It offers all the power I need to charge my 2017 Macbook Pro during heavy use. In short, if you're looking for a one-cable solution, this is the one for you. What I haven't tried yet is connecting a second 4k 60hz monitor via the docking station. It is said to be able to run two 4k 60Hz monitors or one 5k 60Hz monitor along with other peripherals. The difference is that it has the best of all worlds. There are other cheaper alternatives that can power a MacBook Pro, but won't be able to run a 4k monitor at 60Hz (most run 4k at 30Hz, which is a bit choppy in my opinion). Alternatives that support 4k @ 60hz only deliver 60W of power, which isn't enough to charge a MacBook under load. Also, most docking stations that support 4k at 60Hz do not include Ethernet. Pros: * It's completely separate from the laptop and you can place it elsewhere if you have a long enough Thunderbolt 3 cable (you should probably use an active/more expensive tb3 cable if it's longer than 1.5ft ). Some others hang on the side and don't work well in my environment. * Dual 4k @ 60Hz * Gigabit Ethernet * Power Delivery @ 85W The only error I've had so far is after multiple plugging and unplugging of my laptop, my ethernet switch got confused and refused to talk to the docking station. I restarted the ethernet switch and then everything was fine. It wasn't an issue with the dock, it was an issue with my Switch. UPDATE: After 5 months of impeccable work, he started playing. First the monitor flickered, which eventually crashed completely (no power, no ethernet working, no external monitor detected and no external keyboard detected). I contacted Targus Support (their online interface is pretty awful, but people were nice and helpful). They ended up sending the dock back to me (at my expense) and they sent me a replacement. I just got a new one and noticed that the monitor flickers because it's connected to the device's display port. I switched it to a Thunderbolt 3 -> DisplayPort cable and used the TB3 connector on the dock and it's gone. When this device works properly, it's fantastic, but there are some obvious quality issues. UPDATE: November 12, 2018 After a few weeks of using the replacement device, it completely failed just like the original dock. Nothing works and it's practically useless. Due to quality issues I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy this unless you like expensive paper scales.
