I've installed this on my annoying neighbor's TV console, living room light, bedroom light, sound system and computer console while grilling and every time it annoys us or makes too much noise we switch just turn him off. a month has passed. he goes crazy. I have no idea as they look like normal sockets

I chose these because other reviews said they won't block any other outlet. I'm glad I did. We plug them into the bottom socket and then we can use the top for other electronics. They are pre-programmed on the remote control. Each has a numbered sticker on the back. The last digit is the number on the remote control (1 - 5). Just click on number 1 and the switch labeled 1 will turn on. So easy.
