First of all, I'm not a watercolor specialist and don't know this medium best, but I love it and have been doing watercolors for over two years. I bought these because I don't have a travel set and I'm tired of buying the same colors over and over again. What I love about Prima is that each of their kits has a different theme so the colors are not duplicated in other kits. Decadent Pies was the set with the most colors I don't have in my collection yet, and I had a very muted and almost "dull" selection, which was exactly what I wanted as my color choices tended to be soft and comfortable than is bright . and uncomfortable there. The set came in a white box as shown in picture ab. All the colors are packed in the black box and there is a card inside where you can choose your colours. I do not recommend using it as it is not watercolor paper and will therefore alter the appearance of the colours, but I have checked the colors on the card supplied and also in my Canson XL watercolor album, 140 lb paper. I used a #6 Grumbacher Round Brush to pick up the colors, just for reference. The bowls inside the jar will dangle and slide out when the jar is shaken while closed. You can honestly put seven in each row and use the empty space for seven more or for a pocket brush. The texture of the paint in the pans is actually quite rough, none of which look smooth or wet like other watercolor pans. The first four colors (25, 26, 27 and 28) are very dry and soak up water like they are California, while the others retain moisture and stay wet much longer. I drew a black line on my pattern with a waterproof marker (Faber Castell Pitt Artist Black 199 pen) to check the transparency of the colors. On paper designed for watercolor, the colors were much more translucent, but the four metallic tones produced much more luster and shine. All the shades actually match really well, the last three were my favorites and in the video I tried them on the number 34 and 35 blend naturally and it was very smooth. As there are no bright colors except number 36 it was difficult to get bright colors and the mix wasn't quite right but I wasn't expecting much as these colors have a different tone and that would be impossible. to make bright purple with red. It didn't bother me that if I wanted to mix bright colors I would buy Tropical from the original set. I really love these colors and for the cheap price they are worth every penny or more. To be honest, I have no idea about lightfastness, but I will leave both samples for a few days and edit my rating with the result. All in all, I highly recommend this set. Tin can, the colors are beautifully pigmented and unbeatable for the price.
