Most of the serving utensils for sale seem to either come bundled with your cutlery (so you'll have to buy more cutlery to get an extra set or a spare) or specially designed. for use at a banquet and have the appropriate dimensions. This is a good intermediate option with an overall length of 8.5 inches and a wide spoon area to make scooping easier. I don't think I would recommend them for scooping hard ice as the face of the scoop is larger and rounder than most spoons and the handles are not made for heavy use and are likely to bend or flex but are for scooping cooked vegetables , rice etc. .d. they fit perfectly.
