This little vise is perfect for my craft and jewelry needs. It secures wood tiles, discs, and plastic knuckles so I can use a vise to hand drill and/or pilot holes. Before using this vise, I improvised and struggled to secure the parts for drilling, concerned that I might get fingers instead. Now I can safely and easily drill various parts with this compact device. I plan on mounting the vise on a small block of wood which I can then attach to my desk, freeing my hand from holding the vise while drilling. (I assume you can put the vise on a sticky mat temporarily.) This vise, hand drill, and large selection of drill bits give me the tools I need to get creative quickly and safely at a very affordable price will. . I would highly recommend this set to any DIY enthusiast looking for a compact and quality vise and drill bit set.
