My car is a 1998 Toyota Sienna (as a reference for how it looks on the dashboard). ever as smoothly as the video in the advertisement shows. When you press the legs with the phone to set it in place, it stays up until you cover the sides with your hands. Once you have it in place, you'll need to adjust it to make sure it sits straight and isn't tilted. I had another holder that worked much better, but it didn't have the small stand that this one has. The stand prevents the phone clip from tipping down under the weight of the phone and blocking the air vents. So that's a positive thing for this phone clip. The other is that it sticks out of the vent a bit so there's plenty of room for air to flow without it being completely blocked by my phone. It also makes it "closer" to you for reach and screen reading. I'll keep it, but I'm not entirely happy with it. That's just hard to find with a stand. I hope it lasts longer than I expected based on the materials.
