I am ating the review after replacing the thermal interface with liquid metal. The operation was successful! But the results are not so hot. The maximum temperature dropped by 8-10 degrees. Before replacement: worked stably at 4.4 with autovoltage - 72-74 in 100% load render. After replacement: 4.6 to 1.36 V, max. 94 hail, but unstable. LinX - 30 times passes only at 4.5 at 1.33V The temperature is around 90 degrees. It also started on 4.7 but there are a lot of BSODs. The cooler is one of the best air coolers - Noctua NH-D14. Running test scenes - showed that any practically significant performance gain was not noticed. In short, for everyone who is engaged in 3d max - do not expect miracles, the performance is adequate for the price (I7 Extreme is inadequate). Overclocking efforts do not pay off the expended strength and nerves! But with the Haswell core there is an awesome XEON E5-1240V2. The same i7-4770, only without an unnecessary graphics core and $100 cheaper. If I knew everything I know now, I would take it. 4770k is not far gone, and more can not be squeezed out of the platform. For desktop graphic stations, you need to take it already at lga2022, but this is different money and you can already build your own cluster for them.
