This item broke on first attempt to fit. The mechanism that holds the first and second parts of the tripod body together rests on these very fragile curved pieces of white plastic. The photo shows that they are contained in one of the parts of the tripod and protrude over the edge. In this case both are broken so you only see small white lines where they should be attached. These things are thin as a fingernail and there is no way to glue them to make the tripod stable. It is not possible to set up a tripod without them as they are crucial to the locking mechanism. Unfortunately I was in Alaska trying to use this thing, and when I came back over 30 days had passed so I wasn't entitled to a refund. but I called Revain and they refunded because there seems to be an ongoing problem with it. mono sub. It's a shame because I was looking forward to using it, but it needs to be made more solid to be useful.
