WOW! I ordered them to fill an empty wall in my house. After all, it's listed as a "Black Gallery Wall Kit." They arrived very quickly and were packaged very well for shipping. Kudos to whoever developed the packaging method. As I pulled out the first frame, my smile faded. Below are a few things that let me down and then what I think is a good feature. Cons: - The carpet around each of the seven photo frames is ecru/beige. Off-white, off-white, cream, biscuit or ivory. They are dark cream or beige. You can see it in one of my attached photos. This photo shows a matte frame with a brown paper bag, a white paper napkin (bounty) and a bisque colored lid. The carpet looks yellowed in real life. You can even see the difference between the mat and my granite countertop. These are all shades of grey, and there is some yellow in the matte. Another image shows a frame against a wall painted Pleasant Gray and a white light switch. The size of the mats varies depending on the size of the frame: an 11 x 14 frame has a border (mat) that is 1.75 inches wide, an 8 x 10 frame has a border width of 1.625 inches. " has a matte border and a 5x7 border has a 0.625 wide border ". I think it's an aesthetic issue. My eyes don't like that at all. Medium and small frames have a big difference in mat size. One inch!Three sizes of frames and mats are shown in the attached photo.--Frames are the size shown.The mat in each frame reduces the size of the photo that can be displayed in the frame unless you change the mat or delete everything together. I found this misleading at best. In reality, 11x14 with matte makes 7.5x9.5, 8x10s makes 4.5x6.5 matte images, and that leaves 5x7 frames for displaying 3.5x5.5 photos.--Ad says only 11x14 Has sawtooth hanger. But the photos in one I get the impression that everything is put on the wall in the form of a gallery. Well it looks like the rotating parts that hold the photo/mat and backing in the frame have a hole that can be used to hang on the wall. If you don't like this idea, you will spend extra money to find other suspension options. And I also need some rubber feet to place in the bottom corners to keep the frame from moving. My main issue with this is that it's not expensive at all to glue the sawtooth hanger to the other 6 frames. Yes,. Glue. Convince yourself on my photos. -- And finally, glass facades are ordinary glass. I would have preferred anti-reflective glass, but I deliberately did not buy anti-reflective glass. So it's up to me Now for the good specs: Pros: - The black metal frames are pretty solid. - The six frames have an easel backing for display on a horizontal surface. Frame 11x14 does not fit. The clips to attach the layers in the frame work well and don't cut into the sides (traditional MDF or wood frames). These metal frames have a lip around the back so the clamps just need to point under that lip. -- The corners of the metal frames have metal spacers to keep the frame straight and assembled for years to come. -- The frame is about 1" deep and looks really nice together. (without the aforementioned mat width difference). I have mentioned pros and cons and some of them are just my opinion. I will not recommend this set due to the disadvantages mentioned. However, they are durable and look beautiful. I think it depends on you.
