UPDATE 25 Oct the results are disappointingly dull. Maybe it's because of that particular lens. Of course, there have been comments online that the quality control of Samyang/Rokinon lenses has been inconsistent at times. Either way, this lens just isn't sharp, even at f/8. So he returns. ================================= I received this lens yesterday and only had a limited opportunity to test the true world. But so far it looks like a great lens. The attached photo was taken at 1/200, f/2.0, ISO 200 with Peak Focus Assist. I bought this to use with my Fuji X-E2S for dark skies on an upcoming trip. I have a Rokinon 14mm version for my Nikon D750 and am happy with this lens. I expected the same good results and was not disappointed. However, it's important to note that this is a purely manual lens and does not communicate electronically with the camera. IOW, you need to adjust the Fuji menu to capture the exposure with no lens attached. Since you are working entirely manually, you also need to focus on the eye. The peak focus function of the Fuji is necessary for this, since the focusing aids, which depend on an electrical connection to the lens, do not work. Also, don't forget to set the focus to f/2 before stopping. To focus at infinity, DO NOT fully rotate the lens. If you do this, really far away objects will NOT come into focus. Use the peak focus function again. If you're shooting stars, I suggest refocusing on the horizon before nightfall and using duct tape to make sure the trunk doesn't move. If this lens interacts with the camera I would give it 5 stars. But then it will probably cost a few hundred euros more! Fujinon 14mm f/2.8 costs $750!
